About ARU:

ARU is a global university transforming lives through innovative, inclusive and entrepreneurial education and research. ARU holds a Gold award for the quality of its education, awarded through the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).
ARU's research institutes and four faculties bridge scientific, technical and creative fields. We deliver impactful research which tackles pressing issues and makes a real difference to our communities. Our academic excellence has been recognised by the UK's Higher Education funding bodies, with 16 of our research areas assessed as world leading. We are the largest provider of Nursing, Midwifery, Health and Social Care students in the East of England, and we are also among the UK's leading universities for degree apprenticeship provision, working with hundreds of employers across the UK.

About the Role:

Based within our International Policing and Public Protection Research Institute (IPPPRI) you will be providing the project management for our Safe Online funded Survivor Hub project.

Victim/Survivors of online child sexual abuse whose engagement with law enforcement and support services have concluded, are a forgotten group, abandoned by professionals with little if any support, despite evidence showing they suffer excessive trauma. A two-year match funded Safe Online grant has been secured to address this 'system failure', through the creation and delivery of a Survivors Hub, designed to provide support to victims and survivors in 5 pilot countries. The Hub will be established to coordinate the activities of partners and stakeholders who include, lawyers, law enforcement and the Internet Watch Foundation to give victim/survivors, a voice through legal representation, prosecution of their abusers, removal of their abuse images from the internet and help to deal with their trauma through the creation and delivery of psycho-educational tools.

With a minimum of a degree or a relevant professional level qualification, you'll have demonstrable professional experience within project management and experience in coordinating complex research projects, preferably within a higher education or research environment. Excellent organisational and time management abilities are essential, along with strong communication skills to engage effectively with academic, law enforcement, legal representatives, NGO's and other stakeholders supporting the delivery of the project. Proficiency in project and financial management tools (e.g., Excel, Worktribe) is expected, as is the ability to work independently, solve problems proactively, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Informal enquiries can be made to Simon Bailey, IPPPRI Chair, at simon.bailey@aru.ac.uk
