Our Best Start in Life Family Hubs are at the heart of how we support children, young people, and families across North Lincolnshire. We bring together a wide range of services under one welcoming roof, ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.

We are seeking a motivated, skilled, and people-focused Business Support Officer to lead and develop our operational front-of-house business support teams across the Family Hubs. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, community-focused environment and is passionate about delivering excellent customer service and high-quality administrative support.
This role is fixed term for 12 months.

What You’ll Be Doing
You will play a central role in ensuring the smooth running of our Family Hubs by:
Leading and developing the Operational Business Support Team
• Directing the day-to-day work of operational support staff, ensuring a high-quality, responsive service to families and professionals
• Identifying training and development needs and supporting staff to grow in their roles
• Reviewing customer service delivery and coaching the team to maintain excellent standards
Ensuring excellent front-of-house service
• Overseeing reception and first-contact services across multiple Family Hub sites
• Ensuring families are welcomed warmly and signposted effectively
• Managing enquiries, appointments, and the smooth running of hub activities
Delivering high-quality administrative and financial support
• Overseeing the processing of documentation, data, and information across the service
• Supporting budget monitoring, reconciliation, and reporting for service managers, including cash/imprest account processes
• Procuring equipment and services in line with Contract Procedure Rules
Supporting service-wide processes
• Leading or contributing to business support projects such as inspection readiness (including Ofsted), Family Help offer
• Implementing and monitoring quality assurance systems and supporting data collection and reporting
• Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection and information-sharing protocols

About You
We’re looking for someone who brings:
Essential skills and experience
• Experience supervising staff and supporting their development
• Strong customer care skills and the ability to maintain high standards in a busy environment
• Experience managing administrative systems and processes, including quality assurance
• Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and case management systems
• Experience producing and presenting complex information, including statistical and management data
• Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, including working with partner organisations
Desirable
• Experience of budget management and monitoring
Working arrangements
• Ability to work across multiple Family Hub sites and adapt to changing service demands
