About the role: GCSE English Teacher
Activate Learning are now looking for enthusiastic and inspiring English teacher to join our Academic Studies team based at Bracknell College.
This post provides an excellent opportunity for a teacher with passion and drive who is committed to enabling our students to unlock their potential and switch on to the power of learning. Alternatively, this could be an ideal development opportunity for a newly qualified teacher or English graduate looking to get into teaching.
This is a permanent, part-time role working 21 hours per week (0.57 FTE) on Wednesdays to Fridays.
What do you need to be successful as an English Teacher at Activate Learning?
We are looking for people who can act as role models for our students and ensure that they leave us with not just their professional qualifications, but the attributes required to progress in the world of work. A genuine interest in working with and developing young people is a requirement. Experience working with disengaged learners and inspiring them to learn would be highly valued.
Both teaching experience and a teaching qualification are highly desirable, but not required to start in this role with us.
Your communication and interpersonal skills will be outstanding and support your ability to deliver interesting and purposeful lessons to a diverse range of learners.
You will also have strong organisation skills coupled with the ability to prioritise workloads and will benefit from being part of a supportive team, working in a varied and interesting role with a variety of opportunities for career development.
