We're looking for an experienced Environmental Health Manager to lead our Environmental Health team and act as Lead Officer for food law and workplace health & safety enforcement.
In this senior role, you'll:
Manage the Environmental Health team, including Senior Officers and apprentices
Lead on food law and workplace health & safety interventions
Inspect high-risk and approved food premises
Oversee investigations into food safety, infectious diseases, accidents and complaints
Represent the Council in enforcement action, prosecutions and at committee/court when required
What we're looking for:
* Degree in Environmental Health with EHRB/CIEH registration
* Proven competence in food safety and health & safety (Lead Officer level)
* Experience inspecting high-risk and approved food premises
* Strong enforcement and investigation experience
* Excellent leadership, communication and report-writing skills
* Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
