SHEQ Coordinator
Location: COMAH Facility - River Thames
Type: Full-Time | Site-Based
We are seeking an experienced L3 SHEQ Coordinator to support operations on a COMAH-regulated major hazard facility located on the River Thames. This role sits within a live industrial and marine environment and requires strong regulatory knowledge, site presence, and confident stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Support compliance with COMAH Regulations and site Safety Report.
Monitor Permit to Work systems and high-risk activities (confined space, hot works, lifting, marine transfers).
Conduct site inspections, audits, and behavioural observations.
Review RAMS and ensure safe systems of work are implemented.
Support environmental compliance, including spill prevention and river interface controls.
Assist with incident investigations and corrective action tracking.
Deliver inductions and toolbox talks to workforce and contractors.
Maintain SHEQ documentation, reporting, and compliance registers.
Requirements
NEBOSH General Certificate (essential).
Experience working on COMAH or major hazard sites.
Strong understanding of UK HSE legislation and Permit to Work systems.
Experience within industrial, energy, process, or storage environments.
Confident communicator with strong reporting skills.
Desirable
Process Safety or Environmental qualification.
Experience with marine or port operations.
Internal auditing experience (ISO 45001 / 14001 / 9001)
