Dalkia is looking for a proactive and safety-focused Chemistry Lab Technician to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract at Torness Power Station.
This is a great opportunity to contribute to the safe and efficient operation of the station through chemical sampling, laboratory analysis, and essential administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out sampling and analysis to support safe and reliable operations
* Perform environmental monitoring activities
* Operate and calibrate laboratory instrumentation
* Support online process instrumentation, including cross-checks, standards preparation, and inhibitor dosing
* Input, validate, and maintain accurate data records
* Analyse data and identify trends
* Manage stock levels, including routine checks and replenishment
* Provide cover for supervision of bulk chemical tanker discharges and feedwater dosing tank top-ups
* Assist with chemical ordering, goods receipting, accounts, and general administrative tasks
What We’re Looking For
* Full UK driving licence
* Science Highers or A-Levels (or equivalent)
* Basic laboratory experience
* Experience in laboratory analysis and data handling is advantageous, but full training will be provided
