Job Title: Experienced Civils Quantity Surveyor or Senior Civils Quantity Surveyor
Location: On-Site
Department: Commercial
Reports to: Commercial Manager/Divisional Commercial Director
Join Our Team: Experienced Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor
We are excited to be recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team at a pivotal time. We’ve recently secured a £13.5 million contract to deliver the Whitelaw Brae Wind Farm, a landmark renewable energy project in the South Lanarkshire hills, around 14km north-east of Biggar.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
This 14-turbine development will have the capacity to power over 46,000 homes with clean energy and is expected to save more than 78,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually. Our scope of works includes the full civil balance of plant: constructing the site compound, tracks, hardstandings, turbine bases, and the substation and BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) infrastructure. We are also responsible for delivering essential off-site highway upgrades to support the safe transport of turbine components to the remote upland site.
With its proximity to environmentally sensitive areas such as the River Tweed and Fruid Reservoir, the project brings technical and environmental challenges, making it a rewarding opportunity for someone looking to make a real impact on a complex and high-profile renewable energy scheme.

While the Whitelaw Brae project is expected to run for the next 12 months, we are also delivering a series of major projects through a national energy framework, giving us a robust and long-term pipeline of work in the area. This means real stability and long-term prospects for the successful candidate.
