We are now seeking an outstanding Head of Care & Housing Operations to join our Senior Leadership Team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our housing and care services.
About the Role
Reporting to the Director of Customer Operations, you will lead high-performing housing and care operations across Abbeyfield. You will be responsible for delivering excellence in customer experience, quality, compliance, and financial performance.
This is a key leadership position, driving operational excellence and innovation to strengthen our customer proposition and play a central role in delivering the business plan and future strategy in line with our mission and values.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead multi-site housing and care operations, ensuring consistently high standards of service and customer satisfaction.
* Deliver strong financial performance, maintaining budgetary control, maximising occupancy levels, and securing sustainable revenue streams.
* Champion governance, quality, and regulatory compliance across all services.
* Provide inspirational leadership to Regional Operations Managers, driving engagement, retention, and performance.
* Strengthen Abbeyfield’s reputation through effective stakeholder and community engagement.
* Embed a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, aligned to Abbeyfield’s growth strategy.
About You
We are looking for an ambitious, values-driven leader with:
* A proven track record of senior leadership in multi-site, regulated operations, in housing or care sector for older people.
* Strong financial acumen with experience managing large operating budgets and achieving challenging targets.
* Excellent people leadership skills, with the ability to coach, inspire, and manage geographically dispersed teams.
* Deep understanding of quality and compliance frameworks within housing and care.
* The ability to build strong relationships with regulators, commissioners, and local communities.
* A willingness to take undertake a relevant Housing Management Qualification as this becomes a regulatory requirement.
* A Management qualification (ILM Level 5/7 or equivalent)
* Experience of working in a Not for Profit/Charity ideally in the Housing or Care sector
