About the role
As part of your responsibilities, you will be tasked with providing personal care, assisting with educational activities, and supporting the overall well-being of students with Complex Care Needs. Collaborating closely with staff within the school, you'll ensure that students' educational, social, emotional, physical and mental health needs are met.

The secondary school has students with complex care needs, where the school are catering to students with profound and multifaceted needs, severe learning difficulties, as well as autistic spectrum condition. These sounds of schools serve individuals who require extensive support due to physical disabilities, cognitive impairments, or medical complexities. Unlike traditional schools, complex care schools are equipped with expertise and resources to support a wide range of conditions and learning styles. They offer a holistic approach, integrating academic instruction with therapeutic interventions, medical care, and life skills training. Complex care schools are set up to create safe, inspiring and learner-centered environments where students are supported in acquiring the knowledge, skills, confidence and resilience needed to lead as full, interesting and independent lives as possible.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of Complex Care Teaching Assistant you will:
Experience in providing personal care and supporting students with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), preferably in a school setting.
A DBS Check, or readiness to undergo a DBS check.
A compassionate and patient approach towards supporting students with complex needs.
Dedication and commitment to fostering student well-being and progress.
Strong adaptability skills to cater to varying student needs and learning styles.
A proactive stance towards their profession and responsibilities.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
Have experience working with children with Complex Needs.
Have a valid DBS registered to the online Update Service
