Role Overview
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer focuses on product build and process integrity, effectiveness, and efficiency. You will own product performance throughout manufacturing, provide reporting and analysis, and serve as the key technical support for both Customer and Internal Program Teams. This role is program-focused, supporting the Systems manufacturing environment.
Main Duties
1. Drive improvement using Best in Class and World Class Manufacturing principles
2. Utilize manufacturing data to identify and resolve issues
3. Apply systemic root cause analysis and corrective actions
4. Address quality or performance issues with solutions
5. Identify and support skills training needs
6. Maintain and report manufacturing metrics, track KPIs and goals
7. Use metrics to optimize and improve processes
8. Participate in DFM and manufacturability analyses
9. Engage in NPI activities and reporting
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
* HND in Manufacturing or Production Engineering or related field
* Strong knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes
* Analytical skills for data processing and problem solving
* Proven contribution to improving production effectiveness and efficiency
* Understanding of Equipment/Machine SPC and process FMEA
* Knowledge of 6 Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles
