The Security Officer position will be a component of the Global Security Management (GSM) program deployment strategy team. In this role you will be trained on security policies, procedures and will possess the appropriate skill sets and tools to deter and prevent unauthorized access to DTCC facilities, equipment and buildings that protect or house sensitive data and information technology assets. You will be responsible for the convergence of physical and electronic resources such as locks, biometrics, smart cards, keys, physical barriers, and processes along with trained security personnel to achieve primary objectives.
Other duties include:
Support site/regional security operations and processes under the guidance and direction of the EMEA Associate Director
Support the physical security operations of the Wrexham office, including security services for routine operations, internal and external events
Handle incidents with swift resolution, minimal disruption, and identify areas of improvement to continually optimize response protocols
Strengthen partnerships with internal stakeholders to enable their work and to maintain a secure working environment
Familiarity working alongside physical security systems managers/technicians
Provide and promote high standards of professionalism and integrity both within and outside the organization, appropriately representing DTCC core values, business philosophies, protocols, and standards
Responsibility for the implementation of departmental security protocols and standards in addition to maintaining and establishing baseline security practices locally
Provide procedural guidance and direction to authorized visitors and vendors
Participate in the Life Safety program
Participate in Evacuation Exercises and respond to emergency situations
Control access and prevent trespass to corporate facilities and prevent loss of or damage to people and property
Provide information for security investigations, including access control systems and CCTV
Align risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalate observed risks appropriately
Our ideal candidate will need to have:
Minimum of 2+ years in a corporate security officer position
Valid SIA Badge (frontline)
Interpersonal and decision-making skills with demonstrated customer service skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Outstanding organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail and a proven ability to take ownership of tasks, seeing them to execution and completion
Experience responding to alarms, drafting incident reports, visitor management, and routine patrols within a corporate environment
