Security Supervisor
LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate will have been working for the security industry in a corporate and customer service environment for at least 3 years.
The candidate will be able to provide examples of experiences in leadership roles, good stakeholder management, incident management and provide examples of welfare situational events.
The candidate will be working with, staff, contractors, visitors and students and shall be working in a environment where domestic and farm animals are present.
While the role is primarily Monday to Friday days the candidate maybe required to assist on weekends and nights as needed by the business.
The site is renowned and recognised for veterinary education, research and development and allowing public access to its public services available on the location.
We are looking for a leader to inspire and develop the rest of the team, demonstrate core values such as vigilance, integrity and helpfulness and practice good customer service.
You will be expected to work with the client and MadiganGill Security & FM on innovation and improving ways of working.
KEY DUTIES
* Book on and book off with the MadiganGill Security Control Centre using the Guardhouse mobile application
* Ensure comprehensive shift handovers are documented and conducted between outgoing and incoming teams
* Review all incidents, near misses, welfare reports and maintenance requests
* Oversee unlock and lock up procedures, including alarm setting and unsetting
* Maintain full accountability of site keys
* Review, triage and action stakeholder email requests
* Manage access card creation, modification and cancellation in line with approval processes
* Ensure patrols are completed by the security team
* Verify all vehicle access and confirm legitimate business on site
* Conduct daily briefings with the Client Security Manager
* Deliver toolbox talks to the site security team
* Manage planned absences across three client locations
* Ensure training compliance in line with assignment instructions and risk assessments
* Conduct local employee appraisals
* Assist with investigations where required
* Respond to incidents, near misses and welfare related matters
* Maintain up to date local operating procedures in agreement with the Client Security Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Ensure all client agreed tasks are fulfilled in accordance with assignment instructions
* Adhere to all site safety control measures and risk assessments
* Report to the Client Security Manager for day to day operations
* Report to the MadiganGill Contracts Manager regarding company matters
* Ensure all incidents and near misses are escalated in accordance with distribution lists
* Maintain a professional appearance at all times
* Demonstrate strong customer service capability
* Support student welfare as required
* Uphold the professional standards of both the client and MadiganGill Security & FM
* Refrain from using social media or meeting applications to advertise or advocate events on site, or to contact students
* Maintain a valid and authorised SIA licence
* Maintain a valid First Aid qualification
* Comply fully with GDPR and data protection requirements
* Remain courteous, polite and welcoming
* Demonstrate reliability and a positive, proactive attitude
* Comply with all health and safety measures
ESSENTIALS
* Valid SIA licenses (Security Guarding / Door Supervision / Close Protection) Accepted
* First Aid at Work certificate
* Must drive and own own vehicle due to location
* Can demonstrate strong English verbal and written communication skills
* Candidates should live within under 1 hour from the location.
* Must be IT literate and have competency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
* Experience using CCTV and Access Control Software essential
* Experience in educational environment desirable
* Experience in front of house roles desirable
* Experience in leadership roles desirable.
