Job Description
Duties of the Governance Manager:
* Design and implement governance frameworks and policies
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
* Coordinate risk management activities and promote a risk-aware culture
* Provide guidance to the board and senior management on governance matters
* Monitor changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment
* Plan and execute training programmes for staff on governance-related topics
* Prepare and present reports on governance, compliance, and risk management
* Facilitate communication and collaboration between different organisational levels
The Successful Applicant
A successful Governance Manager should have:
* A degree in Law, Business, or related fields
* Proven experience in a governance, compliance, or risk management role in the Not For Profit/ housing sector
* Strong knowledge of governance principles and regulatory compliance
* Proficiency in risk management and internal control practices
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
