St Margaret’s Hospice Care has a fantastic opportunity for a Shop Manager to join our team. This roleis based in our Chard store. You will join us on a permanentbasis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of£25,357.51per annum for 37 hours (pro rata for part time hours)

This role can be offered working on either a 30 or 37 hours a weekcontract .

By joining us you will quickly become part of a great Retail Team that we are proud to say consists of over 700 dedicated individuals and volunteers. The team’s commitment, skills, passion, and energy combine to deliver significant income, enabling our clinical colleagues to deliver their services to nearly 5,000 people across Somerset.

What can you expect to be doing?
Great customer services is at the heart of all our retail colleagues, and we strive to make a difference each and every day. We are looking to recruit an experienced Shop Manager to lead our Chard Shop. Prominent in the community and with a broad, loyal customer base, you will be responsible for the day to day running of this thriving shop located in the heart of Chard.

You will work alongside experienced staff and volunteers to drive sales and maximise profit, knowing that you and your shop are making a positive difference to the lives of patients and their families across Somerset.

What will you be good at?
You will:

* Have experience within the Retail industry, ideally from a supervisory or management role;
* Have demonstrable excellent communication skills and the high standards of customer service;
* Positively demonstrate how to manage, develop and motivate a team of staff and volunteers;
* Be able to support the area manager with the recruitment process of shop colleagues.

This role is a physically demanding position within a busy retail environment which includes the lifting of donated goods.

* 33 days holiday including bank holidays rising to 35 days after 1 year, and increasing with length of service (pro-rata if part-time)
