I’m working with a leading structural and civil engineering consultancy in the Bristol area that’s looking to bring on board an experienced Senior Structural Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking team delivering complex and sustainable design solutions across major building and infrastructure projects.
The Role
You’ll take a key role in leading design delivery, from early concept stages through to construction, while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with architects, contractors, and project teams. The role offers a blend of technical challenge, design innovation, and leadership responsibility.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Lead and review structural designs across diverse projects.
* Deliver practical, efficient, and sustainable engineering solutions.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design quality and buildability.
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to developing engineers.
* Carry out design checks, calculations, and ensure compliance with UK standards.
* Attend site visits and resolve technical issues during construction.
What They’re Looking For
* Chartered (or near Chartered) Engineer with IStructE or ICE.
* Around 8+ years’ experience in structural design and delivery.
* Strong grasp of analysis software and relevant design codes.
* Confident communicator with a collaborative, solution-focused approach.
* Genuine interest in sustainability and pushing technical boundaries.
