The role
As a Finance Manager, you will support the Business Facing Finance Director and team, focusing on enhancing controls around budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. You will liaise with the Land Sector Shared Service team (SSC), SAP SSC, Operations, and Senior Management, acting as the link between Finance and operational teams. Your role involves understanding and communicating cost drivers from production operations.
* Produce timely and accurate contract or site accounts, budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans, including variance analysis.
* Partner with operational teams, holding them accountable for their forecasts and budgets.
* Support operational teams with analysis and insights.
* Manage contractual financial information.
* Produce quarterly revenue forecasts.
This is a full-time role, 37 hours per week, with regular travel to Donnington and home working arrangements.
Essential Experience
* Extensive experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and Outlook.
* Excellent communication skills, especially at senior levels, with the ability to clearly convey financial information to non-finance staff.
* Up-to-date knowledge of Financial Accounting frameworks and regulatory bodies.
* Ability to provide analytical insights to support business decision-making.
Qualifications
* Recognized professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, ACMA, CIMA, ICAEW, ICAS) or equivalent.
Security Clearance
