This Teaching Assistant position is particularly suited to individuals who: Have experience supporting pupils in SEMH, Alternative Provision, PRU, or inclusive mainstream settings Enjoy building positive and trusting relationships with children to encourage them to learn. The Role Teaching Assistant (SEMH / Behaviour Support) As a Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide 1:1 and small group support to help pupils access learning Support pupils in developing emotional regulation, confidence, and social skills Use consistent strategies (including Team Teach approaches) to promote safety and positive behaviour Work closely with teachers and staff to deliver structured, engaging activities Help create a calm and supportive classroom environment where pupils can thrive and remain focused on learning The setting operates a structured and well-supported approach, with regular staff training and clear behaviour systems in place. Wednesday afternoons include mandatory staff training to ensure all staff remain aligned in practice and safeguarding standards.
