Job Description:
About the role
At Tesco, people are at the heart of everything we do, and this couldn’t be truer for our pharmacy team.
As a Pharmacy Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact on others’ lives. Whether you’re supporting pharmacists, providing top-notch services to customers, or fostering community spirit, your work will touch the lives of hundreds of people every day.
We want to help you be at your best, whatever life brings. That's why we’ll offer you uninterrupted "me time" away from the pharmacy to relax, refuel, and recharge. Aside from these healthy breaks, you’ll also have career progression opportunities with leadership training plans from industry experts, ensuring you can develop your skills. If you have ideas for improvements, we’ll give you the chance to be heard.
It all adds up to a role where you can do good, feel good, and grow your career. Let’s make every day a little better.
You will be responsible for
* Supplying prescriptions, delivering NHS and Private services, and providing healthcare advice to customers.
* Playing an active role in our charity support programs, advising communities at risk of or living with cancer, heart disease, and diabetes.
* Leading, training, and developing colleagues.
* Using planning systems to ensure pharmacy staff availability to meet customer needs.
You will need
* A Pharmacy Degree.
* Passion for leading and empowering a team.
* Membership of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and willingness to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme. We will assist with this process.
* Completion of a DBS check (organized by us) before employment.
**Note:** Pharmacists working for Tesco must complete a DBS check before starting employment.
What’s in it for you
Our pharmacies are led and supported exclusively by pharmacists. We continuously seek new ways to deliver excellent service to our communities.
We offer a secure and flexible working environment along with benefits such as:
* Annual GPhC fee coverage.
* Starting holiday entitlement of 25 days plus a personal day, plus bank holidays.
* Buy holiday salary sacrifice scheme.
* Savings of up to £2,000 annually on Tesco purchases.
* Annual bonus up to 20% of salary.
* Contributory pension scheme.
* 26 weeks maternity and adoption leave (after 1 year’s service) at full pay, plus statutory maternity/adoption pay, and 4 weeks fully paid paternity leave.
* Flexible working requests from day one.
* Exclusive pharmacy training programs in partnership with Diabetes UK, Cancer Research UK, and British Heart Foundation.
* Structured leadership training plans by industry specialists.
* Colleague discounts on everyday purchases.
* Support for UK health and social care visa applications.
* Access to colleague networks for diverse backgrounds.
