Technical Manager!
Wise Employment are looking for a Technical Manager to join a fantastic company based in Plymouth.

Working closely with senior leadership, the role focuses on developing opportunities, supporting technical specifications, and strengthening relationships across the construction, municipal, and industrial sectors. The successful candidate will work with customers and internal teams to shape engineered solutions and guide opportunities from early engagement through to successful project outcomes.
As a Technical Manager you will be responsible for:
* Support strategic initiatives that contribute to market growth and business development
* Identify and develop opportunities across construction, municipal, and industrial sectors
* Provide technical input during specification and proposal stages
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, consultants, and stakeholders
* Deliver technical presentations and solution-focused proposals where required
* Collaborate with engineering, marketing, customer service, and project teams
* Monitor opportunity pipelines and contribute to forecasting and planning activities
* Ensure effective use of CRM tools and maintain strong QHSE and safety standards
* Travel as required to support customer engagement and project activity
To be successful in this role you will need:
* Degree or qualification in an Engineering discipline
* Experience within the construction industry or a related manufacturing environment
* Background in technical, commercial, or customer-facing engineering roles
* Strong communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder engagement skills
* Commercial awareness with the ability to interpret performance metrics
* Self-motivated with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
* Strategic thinker with strong analytical capability
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
* Exposure to ERP systems, business-related qualifications, or knowledge of SIOP processes would be advantageous
