We are recruiting a Shift Manager for our growing Production team at our site in Royton, Oldham.

This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your skills by ensuring health and safety standards, production output, quality, and efficiency are achieved on your shift, while motivating and developing your team to exceed targets.

Our Shift Managers work a rotating 3-shift pattern: AM, PM & Nights.


Job Responsibilities

* Team Management: Lead and motivate a production team to achieve targets, maximize efficiency, minimize costs, and uphold safety and quality standards. Manage daily SOR meetings to foster open communication and teamwork.
* Shift Management: Oversee staffing levels, including holiday requests, complete crewing sheets accurately, and communicate resource availability across departments.
* Performance Management: Communicate performance targets clearly and take responsibility for meeting them.
* Team Development: Use performance frameworks to develop team members, ensure proper training, and verify sign-off documentation.
* Compliance: Adhere to all legal and company regulations, including health, safety, and environmental standards. Coordinate with Quality Department on QC procedures.
* Collaboration: Work with Engineering, Quality, H&S, Stores, and HR to optimize production efficiency.

Essential Skills

* Supervisory experience leading at least 20 people
* Knowledge of TPM/lean manufacturing
* Experience in FMCG manufacturing
* Problem-solving skills
* Excellent time management
* Qualifications in people management and health & safety are preferred
