Team Leader - All Age Advocacy Services We are excited to be recruiting a Team Leader to manage our new All Age Bury Advocacy Service, supporting adults and children. This role is based from our brand new, centrally located Bury Office, which provides a great meeting point for team working and connectivity and alongside community working, you can also expect to benefit from our Hybrid Working model to enable the flexibility of additional home working arrangements. Knowledge of advocacy services would be an advantage, but not essential as we have a fantastic L&D offer to support your development, including working towards an external Level 4 Independent Advocacy Qualification, which is fully funded and learning support provided. About the Role As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of Multi-Specialist Advocates, ensuring smooth daily operations, high-quality practice, and the delivery of excellent outcomes. Alongside leadership responsibilities, you will maintain a proportionate advocacy caseload, applying relevant legislation and professional standards. This role is ideal for someone with proven leadership experience, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of statutory and non-statutory advocacy. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management Provide line management, supervision and day-to-day support to MSA colleagues. Manage the daily workflow of the team, ensuring locality KPIs are consistently achieved. Support recruitment, induction, and ongoing development of staff, students, and volunteers. Ensure HR procedures are followed, including recruitment, supervision, appraisal, grievance and disciplinary processes. Act as first point of contact for safeguarding concerns, escalating to Service Manager/Safeguarding Leads as required. Act as initial responder to complaints in line with organisational policy, escalating appropriately. Provide out-of-hours on-call support when required. Quality, Performance & Compliance Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, case law, and best practice, sharing updates with the team. Ensure operational practices comply with internal and external policies, procedures, and systemsincluding regular audits. Oversee effective use of Case Management Systems. Support collection and analysis of performance, quality and outcomes data to inform reporting and service development. Escalate issues and contribute to service improvements and change planning. Advocacy Practice Deliver high-quality Independent Multi-Specialist Advocacy. Manage a proportionate personal caseload in line with statutory requirements. Provide flexible and responsive contingency support across the wider Advocacy Service as needed.
