We have a requirement for a Training Officer to join our busy training department delivering safety courses externally to our clients and internally to our own personnel.
Our principal courses are Lifting Equipment and Working at Height Training.
The successful candidate will be expected to cover training for clients across the South of England (including internal training at our offices in Dorset and Cornwall) and travel further afield, both in the UK for nationwide contracts and worldwide to carry out training on vessels including superyachts and cruise ships.
When not conducting training on customer sites, you will be able to work from home and will be expected to be able to be able to attend either of our offices in Wimborne or Bodmin as required. You should be prepared to spend time away from home on a weekly basis.
REQUIREMENTS
Essential
Qualified trainer or have proven demonstrable training experience
Experience of working at height or delivering working at height courses
To be able to deliver training in accordance with course specialisation, within small groups both in a classroom and practical environment.
Flexible approach to work location, ability to travel within UK and less frequently, worldwide.
IT literate
Clean driving licence
Must be able to work on own initiative as well as within a team. Must be organised with good communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
You may have some of the experience and qualifications listed below but don't worry if do not. We provide full training in the areas you will be covering.
Desirable
Experience in the use of lifting equipment or delivering lifting equipment training.
Engineering experience associated with lifting appliances, overhead cranes and lifting accessories.
Rope Access experience
AP Qualified
IOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH or equivalent
Manual handling
IPAF/PASMA/FLT qualification
