We’re recruiting for a forward-thinking company in Richmond, North Yorkshire, seeking a proactive, part-time SHEQ Manager to oversee Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality activities. Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and enforce SHEQ policies that ensure compliance with legal and industry standards
* Conduct risk assessments, manage non-conformance, and implement corrective and preventative actions
* Coordinate employee safety inductions and ongoing training programs
* Ensure compliance with SHEQ-related accreditations (e.g., Achilles UVDB, ISO9001, ISO14001) and manage audits
* Investigate incidents or accidents and oversee worker’s compensation claims where necessary
* Capture, analyse, and report SHEQ performance data to drive improvement
* Collaborate with operational teams to integrate SHEQ considerations across all projects and operations
* Maintain, review, and continuously improve SHEQ documentation, processes, and procedures
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:
* Professional qualifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH
* Proven experience in SHEQ management, ideally in the Water or Construction sectors
* Strong leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills
* Familiarity with relevant industry standards and environmental regulations

* Confident problem-solver, able to identify issues and implement effective solutions
Additional
Hours: Part-time, 2/3 days per week
Salary: Day rate on a self employed basis or a permanent contract
