NC Programmer / Manufacturing Engineer (Multi-Axis Machining / CMM) Rate: £28.38PH PAYE or £33.24PH Umbrella Location: Warton Contract Lenght: 12 - Months We are seeking experienced NC Programmers / Manufacturing Engineers with expertise in multi-axis machining and/or CMM programming to support the development of digital manufacturing processes. The role involves translating CAD models, drawings, and manufacturing specifications into efficient NC programs to support machining operations. Key Responsibilities Develop and optimise multi-axis NC programs using CAD/CAM systems Translate engineering design data into manufacturing processes Support process planning, design for manufacture (DFM), and dimensional management Validate programs using simulation software Support production with technical expertise and process improvements Manage engineering tasks to cost, quality, and schedule Required Experience Experience with multi-axis machining NC programming and/or CMM programming Strong understanding of machining principles and manufacturing processes Experience with CAD/CAM systems such as: CATIA V5 Autodesk PowerMill / PowerShape or Siemens NX Experience with CGTECH Vericut simulation Knowledge of GD&T Familiarity with PLM, SAP CAM, Shop Floor Manager or similar systems Strong problem-solving and communication skills Qualifications Engineering Degree, HNC/HND, or recognised engineering apprenticeship Experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing preferred
