Job Description

We are looking for an Operations Team Leader to join a team based at Crimond, on a permanent, full-time basis. You will also be required to attend our site in Newmachar, as and when required.

The successful candidate will supervise our grain storage operations and ensure day-to-day requirements are being met with regards to all aspects of Health & Safety.

This role requires someone who sets an example, prefers a hands-on approach and actively participates in day-to-day activities whilst motivating others to achieve operational excellence. This is an exciting and varied opportunity to develop practical skills and grow within the business.

About You

* Good communicator with the ability to consult with all team members, the site management team and internal and external stakeholders
* Able to work under pressure and to deadlines
* Able to adapt quickly to accommodate changing business and customer needs, whilst providing a responsive customer-focussed service
* Works to accommodate the seasonal nature of the business
* Adopts a customer-first mindset while ensuring that compliance is always maintained and, where relevant, internal procedures are always adhered to
* Able to work collaboratively with others and to work without supervision at times
* Good IT skills
* Experience in supervising teams is desirable
* Previous experience in a similar business is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided for the right candidate

Your Role

As an Operations Team Leader your role will involve:

* Hands-on supervision of all site operation requirements
* Supervising our other Operatives on site
* Responsibility for the day-to-day supervision and running of the grain storage facilities
* Actively promoting and embedding Health & Safety into all working practices and behaviours and leading by example
* Day-to-day responsibility for all matters relating to TASCC
* Assisting site management in complying with Health, Safety and Quality procedures including record keeping ensuring compliance
