We have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Administrator to join our HR team based at either our Pembridge site in Herefordshire, or our Selby site in North Yorkshire. This is a full time, fixed term position for 12-months. Hybrid working is available following an initial training period, with 3-days on site and 2-days working from home.
As the Systems Administrator you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, maintenance and optimisation of our HR systems. You will ensure accurate employee data, efficient HR system processes, and high quality support for staff and managers using the HR platforms.
Key Responsibilities
HR Systems Administration
1. Administer and maintain HR systems, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance
2. Update and manage employee records, including new starters, changes and leavers
3. Configure system workflows, forms, and approvals in line with HR policies and business needs
Process Improvement and Optimisation
4. Support the HR Operations team in the update of HR system processes to improve efficiency and employee experience
5. Identify opportunities for automation and standardisation within HR platforms
6. Support system upgrades, enhancements, and testing of new functionality
User Support & Training
7. Act as the first point of contact for HR system queries from employees, managers and HR colleagues
8. Troubleshoot system issues and liaise with suppliers or IT support where required
9. Develop and maintain user guides, process documentation, and training materials
10. Support system training as needed
Reporting & Data Management
11. Produce regular and ad hoc reports to support HR and wider business decision-making
12. Ensure compliance and data protection and confidentiality requirements
13. Support audits and data quality checks
Collaboration
14. Work closely with the HR, Payroll and IT Teams as well as suppliers to ensure systems are suitable for organisational needs
15. Support HR projects that involve system changes or require data analysis
What we are looking for in our Systems Administrator:
You will have:
16. Experience working in a Systems Administrator role or similar
17. Experience configuring systems
18. Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
19. Experience supporting users and resolving system-related queries
20. Ability to review, streamline and improve business processes
21. Strong communication skills and a customer focused approach
22. A collaborative mindset and experience working within a team environment
Whilst not essential, the following would be of benefit:
23. Experience administering HR systems (e.g. HRIS, T&A)
24. Experience supporting system implementations or upgrades
25. Knowledge of HR processes
26. Experience producing reports and dashboards
