About The Role: As a Carpentry Teacher, we are looking for an experienced Carpenter to join our Construction team at Guildford College. If you have knowledge and experience in teaching Carpentry, we would welcome your application. As a Carpentry teacher, you will have passion and enthusiasm for developing and nurturing the next generation of Carpentry professionals. Our Construction & Engineering Faculty has an excellent record of delivering vocational Carpentry courses with employability embedded at their heart, achieved through industry relationships and a teaching team with extensive professional experience. We deliver well-established and highly successful professionally accredited courses in Carpentry. This is a full-time, permanent contract based at Guildford College. We are offering an annual salary up to £42,182 and may consider a hard-to-fill supplement (depending on qualifications and experience).
What do you need to be a successful Carpentry Teacher at Activate Learning? You will have at least a Level 3 NVQ in Site Carpentry and substantial industry experience. You will have a passion for developing the skills of the next generation of skilled Carpenters. You will also have strong organisational skills coupled with the ability to prioritise workloads and will benefit from being part of a supportive team, working in a varied and interesting role with opportunities for career development. Candidates with experience in further education, distance learning and apprenticeships are encouraged.
