About the Role We’re seeking a Technical Buyer with strong engineering and MRO experience to join a busy, fast-paced team. You’ll provide technical support to the purchasing function, ensuring accurate and cost-effective sourcing of parts, components, and services across multiple categories. This role is hands-on and commercially critical — you’ll be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships while supporting engineering, fabrication, and manufacturing teams to deliver high-quality, value-driven solutions. Key Responsibilities * Interpret engineering drawings and source appropriate parts globally * Manage the end-to-end procurement process from tender/specification to delivery * Lead supplier negotiations, ensuring cost-effective and timely solutions * Work cross-functionally with engineering, fabrication, and manufacturing teams * Develop and maintain supplier performance metrics and KPIs * Build and manage strong global supplier relationships * Negotiate pricing, lead times, and quality standards to meet business requirements * Support re-engineering initiatives to improve cost and product efficiency * Maintain accurate records, resolve invoice queries, and manage order delivery schedules * Contribute to sourcing strategy and departmental projects About You * Proven experience as a Technical Buyer or similar procurement role in a manufacturing/engineering environment * Strong technical knowledge of MRO components, materials, and processes * Skilled negotiator with excellent communication and analytical abilities * Methodical, organised, and able to perform under pressure and tight deadlines * Proficient with Microsoft Office and procurement systems * Confident in cross-functional collaboration with engineering and operations teams Personal Attributes * Proactive and highly motivated with a positive, can-do attitude * Flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced environment * Strong problem-solving mindset — able to think outside the box What’s on Offer * Competitive salary (dependent on experience) * Company pension scheme * Free onsite parking * Well-equipped staff kitchen facilities * Permanent, full-time role (40 hours per week) How to Apply Apply today with your CV.
