Nurses play an integral part in our mission to help people grow and live life to its full potential. Working as part of a multi‑disciplinary team, you will offer specialist clinical interventions to young people who use our services. This is an excellent opportunity for an energetic and passionate Substance Misuse Nurse to help shape our vision for providing clinical services to those affected by drugs and alcohol.
The role will have a varied and challenging workload. Record keeping and supervision of your practice is essential and you will spend most of your time working with people from all backgrounds, making a difference to their lives. No two days are the same, and being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.

Hours: Full time, 37.5 per week

Responsibilities: The focus of this role is to provide a clinical response to people who require specialist interventions as part of a holistic treatment service. You will assess the nursing needs of individuals, considering their medical, social, cultural and family circumstances, and co‑work with the team and other agencies in joint management of care.
Qualifications and Experience:
* First‑level registered nurse with recent relevant post‑qualification experience and a current PIN.
* Experience of working with people.
* Knowledge of evidence‑based practice around young people’s substance misuse treatment services and methods, including best practice guidance.
* Sound knowledge of harm reduction and health promotion interventions.
* Ability to assess and formulate recovery plans and written reports for service users.
* Clinical auditing skills to inform evaluation of the service and identify areas for development.
* Professional, empathetic, non‑judgmental attitude.
* Understanding of the importance of professional integrity in relationships with service users, peers, and other professionals.
