A welcoming and well-respected primary school located in the L33 area is looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This is a full-time, term-time position, initially offered on a temporary basis, with the potential for a permanent contract for the right individual.

About the Role
Working closely alongside the class teacher, the successful candidate will provide essential support to individual pupils and small groups. The role focuses on helping children access learning, supporting their wellbeing, and contributing positively to classroom life in an inclusive and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Support pupils with learning activities across the curriculum
* Assist with the physical care and general wellbeing of children, including those with additional needs
* Promote positive behaviour and help manage classroom routines
* Prepare and organise learning resources as directed by teaching staff
* Monitor and report pupil progress and behaviour to the class teacher
* Supervise children during break times, school trips, and enrichment activities
About You

* Reliable, adaptable, and able to respond to the needs of the classroom
* An effective communicator with both children and adults
* A positive team player with a proactive and supportive approach
* Well-organised with strong time-management skills
* Calm, resilient, and confident in managing challenging behaviour
* Fully committed to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare
Essential Criteria
* Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
* Previous experience working with children in an educational setting
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
* Legal right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
