Department Leader and Teacher of Design Technology

The Governors are seeking to appoint a Department Leader for Design and Technology from September 2026. The role will require an enthusiastic professional teacher who is resourceful, well organised with good classroom management skills. The ideal candidate will be someone who has a vision, technical skill with a focus on Design and Technology, and expertise to lead this school’s high achieving Design and Technology department. The successful candidate will have experience of teaching and leading in the Design and Technology area at secondary level, including A level. They will have the skill and expertise to provide challenge and opportunity for pupils of all abilities to develop wider skills in lessons and within extracurricular activities. The teacher will be committed to core values and visions of the school and will have a desire to improve pupil achievement at all levels. This post will provide an excellent opportunity to develop experience in a dynamic and forward-thinking environment.
