Overview
This is a design role that will challenge, develop and inspire. We are seeking a talented and creative Visual Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both digital and offline design, with a passion for creating engaging brand-led and visually compelling work. You will be responsible for producing designs across web and other channels, ensuring consistency with brand identity and uncompromising visual quality.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaboration: Working closely with design and user experience teams, reporting to Head of Digital Design and Creative director and collaborating with development teams to ensure success in executing vision.
* Understanding: Taking on briefs and being resourceful, working independently whilst having a strong and passionate team around you to support and guide you when needed.
* Communication and Management: Keeping in close contact with project and account managers to deliver on time and on brief, being able to highlight concerns and risks and keep dependencies highly visible in order to work efficiently.
* Design for Web & Online: Create visually impactful designs for websites, landing pages, and digital campaigns, focusing on responsive interfaces and excellent user experiences.
* Design for other mediums: Develop eye-catching designs for materials, such as brochures, presentations and other marketing collateral.
* Adobe Creative Suite Proficiency: Mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, to produce high-quality designs.
* Figma for Web Design & Prototyping: Competency in Figma for designing digital user interfaces, online presentations and other brand experiences.
* Brand & Visual Consistency: Work within and help evolve established brand guidelines to create cohesive and visually appealing designs across all mediums.
* UX/UI Design Fundamentals: Apply a solid understanding of user interface and user experience principles to web and mobile projects, ensuring functionality alongside visual aesthetics.
* Responsive Design: Awareness of design across devices for responsive and optimised mobile user experiences.
Tools and Skills:
* Adobe Creative Cloud: Expertise in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
* Figma: Proficiency in web design and prototyping.
* Image Editing: Strong skills in photo manipulation, grading and retouching.
* Video Editing (Bonus): Experience with After Effects, Premiere, or similar tools is a plus.
* Presentations: Ability to create jaw-dropping presentations.
* Google Suite: Familiarity with Docs, Slides, and Sheets for collaboration.
Requirements
Qualifications and experience:
* BA(Hons) or similar in relevant subject.
* At least 3 years experience working in a similar role, ideally agency side.
* Proven experience as a Visual Designer with a diverse portfolio showcasing both digital and offline design projects.
* Experience in interactive and motion graphics design is a valuable addition.
* Experience with key design principles and fundamentals.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Ability to work with constructive and progressive criticism.
* As much a finisher as you are a creative thinker and problem solver.
* Strong time management and multitasking abilities, with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
