You will be joining a fast-pace environment assisting in finding logistics solutions for some of the world's largest industrial, retail & FMCG based customers. My client focuses on searching air freight, sea freight & road freight solutions, which are both cost effective & time sensitive.Job DescriptionAs a Sea & Air Freight Manager you will report in to the Freight Branch Director on a daily basis. You will be responsible for the following areas for responsibility across the Castle Donington office in Leicestershire:Managing a small team of 10-12 sea / ocean and air freight forwarders - including their training, development and engagement.Overseeing the team responsible for preparing sea & air freight pricing & customer quotations - informing about the freight prices, port charges, cost of special documents, insurance prices as well as prices for handling the goods.Overseeing the team responsible for Documents of Operations and transportation (booking, airway bills and loading confirmation)Strategic analysis surrounding the nominating carriers, airlines and GSA in-line with rates, OTIF value and customer requirements in line with a variety of INCOTerms.Customer rate analysis on route guidance, whilst monitoring and secure allocations and operation efficiencyDevelop and build relationships to ensure a high level of customer service is provided to clients with a knowledge of the clients business requirementsKey Account Management of current and new account onboarding across a variety of trade lanes and customer industry.The Ideal CandidateThe successful candidate will have an expansive background in multi-modal freight forwarding (either road, air or sea freight).
