Key Responsibilities Inventory & Costing
1. Monitor daily inventory reports, resolving discrepancies.
2. Investigate job cost variances and ensure accurate cost of sales reporting.
3. Issuing count sheets and reconciling variances.
4. Process and reconcile stock adjustments.
Payroll & Taxpliance
5. Administer monthly payroll, ensuring correct payments and deductions.
6. Manage deductions and submissions in line with HMRC requirements.
7. Prepare and submit VAT returns on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Month-End & Audit Support
8. Execute month-end production closures and generate relevant reports.
9. Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
10. Assist with audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.
Business Unit Finance Support
11. Provide finance support across multiple business units, including:Inventory, payroll and VAT.Sales invoicing and quarterly recharge processing.Postingmission invoices and managing bank/credit card transactions.
General Finance Duties
12. Assist with sales and purchase ledger activities during peak periods or staff absence.
13. Process bank cheques and handle ad hoc finance tasks.
14. Support the Finance Manager with process improvement initiatives.
15. Undertake additional duties to support the wider finance team and business needs.
Qualifications
16. Minimum GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
17. Actively studying or willing to study towards CIMA/ACCA.
Skills & Experience
18. Previous experience in a manufacturing finance environment.
19. Proficient in ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
20. Strong organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
21. Clear and effectivemunication skills, both written and verbal.
