Join Winchester Hospital and play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care! As a credentialed ObGyn Physician Assistant, you'll work closely with specialist physicians, supporting inpatient services. You'll be a key part of our healthcare team, collaborating to achieve the best possible outcomes for our patients and their families.
What You'll Do
Obstetrics
* Assist Obstetricians with patient care and deliveries.
* Perform procedures.
* Maintain competency in CPN.
Surgical Services
* Support surgeons with perioperative care.
* Perform surgical procedures.
* Maintain competency in CPOE.
Schedule
* 36 hours, typically 3 12-hour shifts per week
* Rotating schedule, days (7am-7pm) and nights (7pm-7am). Night shifts every third weekend and holidays
What You'll Bring
Education
* Required: Graduate of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program.
* Preferred: Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies with a specialty focus.
Experience
* Required: Clinical experience in Labor and Delivery; BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
* Preferred: At least 6 months of clinical experience in the specialty.
Obstetrics
Experience with labor and vaginal delivery, postpartum care, cervical ripening agents, and fetal heart monitoring.
Surgical Services
Experience within the perioperative environment including first assist role as well as managing surgical patients.
Other Skills/Knowledge
* NRP, BLS for Obstetrics; ACLS for Surgical Services (life support certifications).
* Ability to first assist in the operating room.
* Proficiency in performing bedside procedures.
* Strong collaborative skills for patient management.
* Basic computer skills.
* Excellent communication skills in English (read, write, speak).
