SEND Teacher – Profound, Severe and Complex Needs (Outstanding Specialist School)

Location: Maidstone
Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time / Permanent
Start Date: January 2026

Teaching Personnel is proud to be working in partnership with an Outstanding specialist school to recruit a SEND Teacher to support children and young people aged 2–19 years with profound, severe and complex learning needs.

About the School

The school supports learners with a wide range of needs, including profound and severe learning difficulties, physical disabilities, autism, medical and communication needs. The school is well resourced and staffed by a committed multidisciplinary team, including specialist teaching assistants, therapists and support professionals.

The Role

As a SEND Teacher, you will:

* Deliver engaging, personalised learning tailored to pupils with complex needs
* Plan and assess learning in line with EHCP outcomes
* Create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment
* Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists and families
* Monitor progress and contribute to reviews and reports
* Promote communication, independence and emotional wellbeing

The Ideal Candidate

We welcome applications from experienced SEND teachers and teachers with a strong interest in specialist education.

You will:

* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Have experience or a genuine passion for working with pupils with profound, severe and complex needs
* Be patient, resilient and flexible in your approach
* Demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills
* Be committed to safeguarding and inclusive practice

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
