Do you want to be part of a dynamic team at a prestigious organisation, helping us to create commercial impact? University of Birmingham Enterprise Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic Operations and Productivity Administrator to project manage a programme of workflow improvements, and provide operational and administrative support to the CEO, COO and wider company Senior Management Team.

This is a fixed term post for one year.

What you’ll do

1. Project manage a programme of automated, rule-based workflow improvement to improve administrative productivity, working with team leads to identify workflows that will benefit from automation
2. Design and implement appropriate or productivity tools or systems to help structure complex projects and document knowledge
3. Provide demonstrations of the tools and systems to the end users
4. Provide administrative support to the company Senior Management team
5. Undertake office management and general administration duties
6. Support the Operations team in organising meetings and events and greeting visitors

What we’re looking for:

7. Experience of representing a professional services organisation, effective and diplomatic communication skills and the confidence to interact with people at all levels of seniority.
8. Skills in workflow productivity and automation tools (. Loop, MS Projects. Power Automate)
9. Strong skill in the use of Microsoft 365 packages, and ability to quickly learn and adapt to other IT systems Knowledge of the use of AI, such as Copilot, within a working environment
10. Experience of representing a professional services organization.
11. Effective and diplomatic written and oral communication skills
12. Awareness of UK GDPR and data protection requirements

To be considered for this full-time role, you will need to show us that you can work flexibly within a diverse business unit. Ideally you will have previous experience of experience of representing a professional services organisation and be willing to undertake customer facing / front of house duties.

We will also expect very strong IT skills and the ability to implement workflow productivity and automation tools and demonstrate these to end users clearly.

It is also important that you are a strong team player with excellent written and verbal skills and the ability to maintain accurate and up to date records.

UoB Enterprise is based in a highly stimulating working entrepreneurial environment located on the vibrant Birmingham Research Park in Edgbaston, Birmingham.

The salary on offer is in the range of £30-32,000pa, depending on experience.
