The Children and Young people
* To actively safeguard and promote the welfare of the young people.
* To report immediately any unsafe practices and conditions.
* To provide consistency in the care delivery, promoting engagement with routines, and implementing positive boundaries and routines.
* To lead and plan effective and efficient shifts including the planning and facilitation of activities.
* To always be a positive role model for staff and the young people.
* To engage in meaningful activities with the young people both in and out of the home to promote positive relationships.
* To confidently support the young people with agreed strategies, demonstrating resilience, ensuring that the needs of the young people are met.
* To deliver agreed work with the young people, in line with their plans and the home’s statement of purpose.
Personal Development and Team Membership
* To work as part of a team and support staff whom may be less experienced in meeting the needs of the children and working in the home day-to-day.
* Undertake relevant training programmes as required by governing regulation, guidance, and the company.
* Work in a way that does not discriminate and treats everyone with respect.
* Fulfil sleep-in duties in accordance with the agreed rota.
* Be able to undertake appropriate training as part of overall professional development.
* To carry out any other reasonable and relevant duties, at times leading shifts in the absence of a senior member of staff.
Regulatory and Administrative
* To work in accordance with the Children’s Homes Regulations, other statutory guidance, and co-operate with any inspection process.
* To work in line with the young people’s plans and support others to do so.
* Ensuring to have sound knowledge of the organisations policies and procedures.
* To complete day-to-day administrative tasks and maintain records required by the home.
* Participate in the update and review of young people’s plans.
