Working in the east of England

Our Trust provides emergency and non-emergency care to patients in the east of England covering the six counties of Essex, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Suffolk, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire.

Dear Candidate,

Thank you for your interest in joining the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EEAST). I am delighted that you are considering the opportunity to join us at this pivotal time in our journey, with the role of Chief Finance Officer (CFO) being crucial to our future success.

To realise this vision, we are seeking a dynamic, inclusive, and strategic leader to join our executive team as CFO. This role is essential to ensuring the financial sustainability, operational performance, and long-term success of EEAST, enabling us to continue delivering outstanding patient care.

The CFO will lead the Trust’s financial strategy, ensuring robust financial governance, strategic investment, and operational efficiency. This role requires an empathetic, outcome-focused leader who can drive financial innovation, enhance accountability, and develop business intelligence capabilities. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders across the health and care ecosystem to foster collaboration, maximise value for money, and ensure financial resilience.

We are focused on several key priorities, including:

1. Ensuring financial sustainability while delivering high-quality patient care.

4. Building strategic partnerships to enhance financial and operational effectiveness.

This is a rare opportunity to make a lasting impact within a dynamic and evolving ambulance service that plays a vital role in the lives of so many. We welcome applications from experienced finance professionals who share our commitment to excellence, collaboration, and innovation. If you are a compassionate and strategic leader with the ambition to shape our future, we invite you to apply.

I look forward to meeting you and learning how you can contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional care and financial sustainability.
