About Us:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Wireman/Fitter to join our team, working on NGED substations mainly within the NGED region. As a NGED authorised Wireman/Fitter, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the electrical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out wiring, fitting, and earthing works on NGED substations
2. Hold and manage Permit to Work (PTW) and Limitation of Access (LOA) systems
3. Work safely and efficiently, adhering to NGED policies and procedures
4. Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
5. Maintain accurate records and documentation
Requirements:
6. NGED authorisation as a Wireman/Fitter
7. Valid PTW and LOA certification
8. Proven experience working on electrical substations
9. Strong knowledge of electrical wiring, fitting, and earthing practices
10. Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
11. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
12. Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities
Desirable Qualifications:
13. City & Guilds or equivalent electrical qualification
14. SSSTS (Site Safety Training Scheme) certification
15. IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) certification
16. Telehandler operator training certification
17. First Aid at Work certification
