Job Description

Our client, a very well-established financial services firm specialising in trading and capital markets, is looking for a Trade Support / Middle Office Manager to join a dynamic, trading floor-facing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Middle Office function, in not just its growth, but also providing operational support to traders, clients, and internal stakeholders across a range of asset classes. This is a front-office aligned operations role, offering wide exposure to the trading lifecycle and the opportunity to interact regularly with departments such as Compliance, Risk, IT, and Finance. Their product coverage spans Equities, Fixed Income, and Investment Trusts. Team members are encouraged to broaden their knowledge across multiple markets and functions. You will be a Manager grade individual who has led teams (large or v.small) in the past. Fidessa is a must, CTM and Traiana also useful.

Key Responsibilities

* Completing time-sensitive tasks ahead of market open
* Booking, amending, and cancelling trades on the Fidessa platform
* Monitoring trade matching and exception management systems
* Responding to queries from external counterparties and internal teams
* Investigating and resolving trading or regulatory discrepancies
* Managing and maintaining static data within Fidessa
* Supporting capital markets activities including new listings and placements
* Registering new instruments for trading
* Ensuring accurate trade capture and settlement workflows
* Compiling daily reports and trade statistics for internal use
* Report directly to Head of Middle Office / Trade Support
* Lead and develop others.
* Grow the division, inline with firms strategy.

Candidate Profile

* Prior experience in Middle Office or Trade Support in a financial institution
* Familiarity with Fidessa (essential or strongly preferred)
* Exposure to front-office or trading floor environments
* Comfortable working in fast-paced, time-critical settings
* Highly organised with a strong attention to detail
* Effective communicator across teams and with external parties
* Resilient, collaborative, and results-oriented
* Willingness to work extended hours when required
* Interest in gaining further qualifications (e.g. industry certifications)
* Working knowledge of CFD's and IPO's also useful

A diversified role which will range from supporting our customers and clients, and their use of our Electronic Trading services, to supporting our traders and market makers in managing both client-side and market side trading workflows.
