Just finished uni and wondering what comes next? If you’re a psychology graduate, an education enthusiast, or simply someone who loves seeing young people grow, this could be your ideal first step into the world of secondary education.
We’re looking for friendly, curious, and committed Learning Support Assistants to join a range of brilliant secondary schools across South Gloucestershire. You’ll be supporting students who need an extra boost to stay on track, build confidence, and feel settled in the classroom. Think of yourself as the steady hand that helps them get the most out of school life.

What you’ll be doing
7. Supporting students with learning, focus, and classroom engagement
8. Working 1:1 or in small groups
9. Helping teachers create a calm, structured environment
10. Using your people skills to build trust with young people who need a bit of extra understanding
11. Bringing patience, humour, and good energy every day
Who we’re looking for
12. Psychology grads, education grads, or anyone with a strong interest in learning and child development
13. Calm, confident communicators
14. People who enjoy problem solving
15. Those who aren’t fazed by busy school days
16. Empathetic individuals who want to make a real difference
17. Experience with young people is helpful but not essential, we’ll support you from day one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
