Science Technician
* Annual Salary: from £13.39 per hour
* Location: Near Brighton and Hove
* Job Type: Temporary, Full-time (26th February to Easter initially)
We are seeking a dedicated Science Technician to support our dynamic science department across Year 7 to Year 13 classes. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in science and a passion for education.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Prepare materials and equipment for science experiments and demonstrations.
* Assist in the maintenance and organisation of science laboratories.
* Ensure that all safety protocols are followed during lab activities.
* Support teachers during lessons by setting up equipment and helping manage classroom activities.
* Manage the stock of science supplies and coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery of necessary materials.
* Assist in the development and implementation of health and safety procedures in the science department.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Must hold a Science degree or experience working in labs.
* Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a laboratory setting.
