My client is looking for a qualified solicitor to join their reputable Housing team. Their Housing team is ranked by Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners UK, and assists landlords and tenants with all housing issues. Including homelessness, disrepair, eviction, succession, neighbourhood problems, debt issues, and possession proceedings. They handle both legal aid and private cases, representing clients at all court levels, including the High Court.
Main Responsibilities:
• Report to the Department Director
• Handle all aspects of Social Housing work and provide guidance to team members
• Manage various caseloads
• Assist with public and private housing cases
• Attend clients, take instructions, and prepare cases
• Manage correspondence and maintain accurate time costing
• Implement monthly file review recommendations promptly
• Ensure compliance with file management
Key Skills Required:
• Valid Practising Certificate
• Strong management and team skills
• Proven supervisory experience and ability to meet KPIs
• Excellent client care and communication skills
• Strong analytical, organisational, and IT skills
• Knowledge of publicly funded Housing work and ability to handle private cases
• Advocacy experience is a plus
