Due to internal progression, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Project Delivery team. The role involves proactively managing the financial and contractual aspects of projects and driving continuous improvement of the commercial function. This position is within our GB Sales business. Experience as a QS within the construction industry would be advantageous.
Reporting to the Managing Surveyor, you will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, take commercial responsibility for projects, ensure their successful delivery, maintain relationships, maximize commercial returns, and manage risks.

Role Responsibilities
* Project cost management, including value engineering proposals and cost forecasting (internal & external reporting).
* Manage procurement of project subcontractors in collaboration with the project buyer.
* Contract administration, including issuing notices and correspondence.
* Lead cashflow management, including submission of payment applications and notifications.
* Develop and maintain relationships with the supply chain.
* Protect the company's contractual position with clients and supply chain.

Our Ideal Candidate
We are seeking someone with:
* A Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related construction field
* Experience in a quantity surveying role within the UK construction industry
* Knowledge of traditional construction methods
* Understanding of project delivery phases and associated QS actions
* Experience administering JCT and/or NEC contracts independently
* Strong communication skills
* Effective time management, organizational, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
* Ability to take full responsibility for all aspects of a construction project
