English Lecturer (GCSE, Functional Skills & A-Level) – Greater Manchester
Salary: From £28 p/h
Location: Greater Manchester
Contract: Temporary, full-time
Reed Further Education are working with a leading education provider in Greater Manchester is seeking a dedicated English Lecturer to join their dynamic team and deliver high-quality learning across GCSE, Functional Skills (Entry to Level 2) and A-Level English.
About the role:
* Deliver engaging and effective English teaching across GCSE, Functional Skills (Entry to Level 2) and A-Level English.
Responsibilities
* Deliver planned learning in line with curriculum requirements.
* Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans and learning materials.
* Mark work, provide constructive feedback and track learner progress.
* Support learners with exam preparation and resit processes.
Requirements:
* UK recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, DTLLS/PGDE or equivalent).
* Degree or relevant qualification in English or a closely related subject.
* Experience teaching GCSE English, Functional Skills English or A-Level English.
All candidates who register with Reed Further Education will have 2 years’ referencing taken up and will be required to have a DBS check completed. All offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks. Reed Further Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment by completing mandatory training within 6 weeks of your first assignment and annually thereafter.
