What we can offer you; 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays Access to our company/people’s pension scheme Discounts on everything from groceries to well known retailers Access to a range of resources to support your physical, mental and financial health; so you can lean on us whenever you need to 24 hour access to a virtual GP, 365 days a year, for you and family members in your household One paid days leave every year to volunteer and support your community Ongoing training and development opportunities, allowing you to reach your full potential What you’ll be doing; Assisting the Shift Team Leader with the operation of the plant from a Central Control Room, including the operation of refuse cranes Ensuring day to day compliance with all aspects of the Environmental Permit, reporting any non-compliance or incidents to the Shift Team Leader Carrying out routine plant inspections, adjustments and operations as required, collecting and recording plant data Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the Energy Recovery Facility at all times Monitoring stocks and taking receipts of consumables and collections Working as part of the Operations team, assisting the Shift Team Leader and supporting other team members as required Assisting other company staff and contractors as required Undertaking personal development to enhance knowledge and skills relevant to the role What we're looking for; Engineering experience working in a continuous process environment, preferably on steam generating equipment An interest in mechanical and electrical plant with some hands-on experience of plant operations is essential Experience gained through shift working, with the ability to work a continuous rotating shift pattern including overtime when required A good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues Waste Incineration experience is desirable but not essential What’s next?
