EN Support Assistant – Specialist Settings (West Yorkshire)
We are currently recruiting SEN Support Assistants to work in specialist educational settings across West Yorkshire.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with additional needs, including complex needs, personal care requirements, and challenging behaviour.
Role Details:
Location: West Yorkshire
Pay: £90–£105 per day
Hours: Full-time, school hours (Monday–Friday)
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs
Assisting with personal care where required
Managing and supporting challenging behaviour
Working closely with teaching staff and multidisciplinary teams
Creating a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment
We are looking for candidates with backgrounds in:
Residential care
Health and social care
Youth work
Prison/probation services
Care/support work or similar settings
Requirements:
Full-time availability (school hours)
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (child or child & adult) or willingness to apply
Ability to provide 36 months of references
A patient, resilient, and proactive approach
Desirable (but not essential):
Moving and Handling training
Team Teach (or other behaviour management training)
Full UK Driving License

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
