Accor has an opportunity for an enthusiastic and career driven team player to join a proficient team in the position as Night Manager. We are seeking a motivated, highly engaging, analytical and passionate Full-Time Night Manager to join our team at Peppers Beacon Queenstown. Overlooking picturesque Lake Wakatipu and a stroll from the heart of Queenstown, Peppers Beacon attracts a mix of Kiwi and international guests in search of year round adventure. Full Time role - Minimum guaranteed of 30 hours per week.
Hourly pay rate between $27 - $29 NZD per hour

The main duties and responsibilities for the Night Manager position are, but not limited to:
1. Welcoming all guests to the hotel in an efficient and friendly manner
2. Handling all guest enquiries, and providing helpful information
3. Checking guests in and out of our property and settling accounts
4. Provide accurate and up to date financial and yield reports as directed
5. Night management of hotel operations in the absence of Hotel Manager and Senior Management Team
6. Actively contribute towards reaching agreed hotel targets and objectives
7. Audit the daily activity of front office and food & beverage operations in accordance to policies and procedures
8. Maintain responsibility for the overall auditing and administration function of the Night Audit process
9. Managing and undertaking the Hotels management systems night audit process
10. Be knowledgeable of Front Office systems and know back up procedures and system recovery procedures
11. Process and reconcile the daily banking inline with the hotels Trust Accounting and Sync bank.
12. Process and allocate payments by following strict criteria and using correct remittance documentation to ensure accuracy
13. Maintain current knowledge of all security and emergency procedures and manage the instigation of such procedures as required
14. Inform other departments of Guest special requests, including early/late departures and room changes
15. Ensure guest feedback is recorded accurately per operational standards and any matters requiring action are resolved in a prompt and efficient manner
16. Ensure guest security and privacy is maintained at all times
17. Maintain awareness of all hotel areas
18. Responsible for all other departments in the absence of their respective managers for the duration of the night time operation
19. Take and prepare room service orders
20. Participate in workplace consultation on matters pertaining to Occupational Health and Safety, as per the hotels agreed arrangements
21. Invoicing Travel Agents and following up on overdue accounts
22. Communicate problems, resolved or unresolved to your Supervisor at shift change over and duty log book
23. Ensuring the safety of guests at all times, completing regular floor checks and managing noise concerns
The Ideal Candidate will:
24. Have previous experience as a Night Manager, Duty Manager or Night Auditor
25. Hold a current GM Certificate or be able to apply for one immediately
26. Hold a current First Aid certificate
27. Be highly personable and enthusiastic about customer service
28. Have immaculate grooming and professional presentation
29. Be innovative in thinking of ways to "WOW" our guests
30. Be extremely organised and efficient
31. Ability to balance and audit accounts and hotel operations
32. Calm, efficient, and able to work well under pressure
33. Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
34. Current and demonstrated knowledge of health and safety and security procedures
35. Understand and demonstrates the importance of being a team player
