Senior / Principal Civil Design Engineer - Water & Energy Sectors
* Hybrid working with flexible hours
* Locations: Cardiff, Bristol, South Wales
* Up to £60k (Senior) or £70k (Principal) + package
We're recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering design consultancy with a strong and growing presence across the water, energy and heavy industrial sectors. Based from their office in South Wales, this is a fantastic opportunity to join an expanding in-house design team working on exciting, multi-disciplinary projects.
The Role
You'll take technical ownership of a portfolio of projects - from outline through to detailed design, working collaboratively with clients, contractors and the wider supply chain. You'll also play a key role in leading and mentoring junior engineers within the team.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation of outline and detailed civil designs to relevant standards
* Design calculations, reports, drawings and BIM-led deliverables
* Project management - budgets, programmes, quality and H&S compliance
* Leading and developing team members
* Building and maintaining strong client relationships
What They're Looking For
* Degree in Civil Engineering
* Experience in water and/or energy sectors
* Strong knowledge of Eurocodes and UK Codes of Practice
* Confident leading teams and mentoring junior engineers
* Chartered or working towards chartership (desirable)
* Full UK driving licence
